Other Popular Bosnia Herzegovina Newspapers

If you happen to travel to Bosnia or Herzegovina, or you are originally from that region and are looking for local newspapers, you can find a wealth of options online. This sovereign state that forms a triangular shaped republic that borders Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro boasts six well-known newspapers that cover events happening locally and worldwide.
What are the national newspapers?
There are four national newspapers read by the general population in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The most well known is the Oslobodenje, which is printed in Bosnian. The Dnevni Avaz is another that is also printed in the Bosnian language. Because of its relative closeness to the Serbian border, the Nezavisne Novine is printed in Serbian to meet the language needs of that particular demographic, while the Dnevni List is available in Croatian, as its customer base borders Croatia.
Other available newspapers
In Sarajevo, which is the capital of the sovereign state, there are four papers available to the local residents: the Oslobodenje, the Dnevni Avaz and the Hrvatska Rijec, which is printed in Croatian and the Bosnian-language Jutarnje Novine. The Nevavisne Novine is the only periodical distributed in Banja Luka, and the area of Mostar only has access to the Dnevni List.
Each of these newspapers, whether national or local, gives its own perspective on current events, politics, business and local news. You can count on getting a new and refreshing view on the issues of the day no matter which paper you select.
